Food should be comforting, not complex.
What Will Eats is a food blog where I showcase simple yet comforting food recipes. Food has always been a big part of my life, from exploring new places, and tasting new cultures to hosting small dinner parties. This website is dedicated to showing off what I’ve learned as someone who cooks to make heartwarming, feel-good foods. So, grab your knives, an apron, and join me in what I eat.

a home for simple, comfort recipes.
Internet cooking today has become so complicated and flashy. For example, so many internet chefs when they make a sandwich actually make their bread from scratch every time. For people who cook at home, that is not a feasible, simple option, and most times does not result in a comforting meal. Here’s a straightforward meal, detailed with ingredients and recipes that you can buy at your local grocery store, to make all my recipes as feasible as possible for every single cook.
who is Will (or “who am I?”)
I remember in middle school when I decided not to bring leftover Filipino food to school. I felt like I was getting weird looks of bringing leftover Adobo; not only did it smell like garlic, but it was also cold. Instead, I made a turkey wrap with a small tortilla, 2 turkey slices, a slice of cheese, and thousand island dressing. Did it taste good?
I ended up sharing some Wendy’s fries with my friend that day.
It wasn’t until senior year of high school that I really tried cooking again. A forever recipe is a mac and cheese, made with a roux. The summer after, I was the “grill master” amongst the group (even though my grill was old, rarely used by my father, and most of the time, out of propane). Everyone showed up to my parent’s small townhouse, asking for a burger that I seasoned with the simplest mix of salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
I’m someone who has always wanted to cook more, learn more about cooking, and find inspiration and comfort within food.

Weeknights, I tend to cook fast recipes, from pairing frozen potatoes with roasted chicken thighs and vegetables to rice bowls and tortillas. On the weekends, I make more comforting or experimental dishes. Sometimes, it’s a full plate of French toast and berries with bacon and eggs, other weekends, it’s a coffee steak recipe.
